How to Make a Garden Sign

If you've been around a while you know how much I like to completely take apart a cast off and make 
something new from the pieces.




This time I found a great old oak lamp-table in front 
of my neighbors house, spider eggs and all.

After dis-assembling the whole lamp I had a vision.

I thought the front folding shelf would make the perfect garden sign.


I screwed the shelf to another straight board that broke off the other side of the table. 

Isn't it the perfect sign shape?



I loved the color and the texture of the bare wood, no painting needed!
I printed out the word "GARDEN" on my computer
and used graphite paper to transfer the letters to the sign.
On the back of the sign I attached a rusty metal stake to help the sign stay securely in the ground.
I painted in the letters, then sealed the sign with a poly sealer. 


The bunny likes it too!
