Blogger Beginning and a Repurposed Lamp
Homeroad has a new look... (well it is almost finished)
so I thought I'd take a look back to where it all began...
get ready... this is one of my first projects...
Back in 2011 my daughter and I found this very large 4 foot +
lamp on the side of the road. It took both of us
to get it into the back of the car...
All I could think about at the time was
"look at all those awesome parts" I wonder what I could
turn this ugly lamp into... and I proceeded to take it apart...
There began Homeroad...
Almost 5 years and 970 posts later, I've learned a few things...
Like how to take pictures for one... clarity, lighting,
using larger pictures... it was all a learning curve.
My ideas had potential and from there
Homeroad
has grown into a business with an Etsy shop and
a physical shop within an Artisan Market
I love using social media
and you can follow me on my sidebar.
You may even notice a new look to the
Homeroad blog which is a clean and
simple layout that lets my projects shine.
Never when the name Homeroad popped into my
head did I envision where it would lead me.
I've had many exciting experiences on this journey
and a segment on ABC's The Chew a while back.
Not to mention another fabulous opportunity
that will public soon!
While I am no where near finished doing what I love...
it is great to see how far I've come and
the great friends I've made on this journey.
This found lamp had many pieces... click below to see the 5 fun projects I created and sold at my first local craft fair.
Here are links to 5 repurposed lamp projects...
It is great for me to look back and then look ahead!
Onward!
