Mason Jar Lid Pumpkin
This is not my idea, I wish I could say I thought of this but I saw it online and I couldn't wait to make one of my own.
After all, who doesn't have a ton of mason jars after painting so many with chalk paint?
You can also purchase the lids on Amazon.

And since I have so many Mason jar lids I'm giving this a try!
I started my pumpkin project with 20 mason jar lids, not sure if more or less would work but when I began stringing them on the jute, this many looked about right.
I tied them together with a length of jute through the middle.
I'm using orange chalky paint to paint the metal lids because it sticks to almost everything.
You could also use a spray paint chalky paint.
I gave the lids an initial first coat and let it dry.
When my pumpkin was dry I added a stem.
I had a real old pumpkin stem leftover from a pumpkin last year.
Real looking pumpkin stems can also be purchased on Etsy!
I drilled a hole into the bottom of the stem and added a dowel.
The dowel is glued to the stem and into the center of the Mason jar lid pumpkin.
When the glue dried on the stem I gave the pumpkin a quick 2nd coat of paint.
I added a coil of wire for the pumpkin tendril and all those leftover Mason jar lids now have a new purpose.
I gave this to my mother for her birthday and she loved it!
