Vintage Window Shelf From Old Window
Vintage windows are being used everywhere
and when a friend dropped off a few to me, there was
no shortage of ideas out there.
I started out by scraping down the chippy paint that was already falling off.
I had several scrap boards in my workshop and I cut one to the width of the window and attached it to the bottom with wood glue, nails, and metal brackets.
I used white chalky paint to paint both sides of the window with a coat of white.
I added large D rings to the back of the window and hung it in studs on the wall over the bed.
I'd show you the whole room but unlike other home and garden bloggers, my room is not always perfect.
My master bedroom make-over can be found in this post about painting the furniture.
My decor right now is completely neutral with a pop of turquoise color in the pillows and the rug.
