Driftwood Photo Holder
I found this beautiful piece of large driftwood on the beach.
One of my favorite things to do is to treasure hunt on the beach.
I found this great piece of driftwood one day.
It stands almost 2 feet tall.
The color and the texture of this wood was awesome!
To preserve the color, I gave it a coat of Polycrylic.
All I really needed to do was to screw on a clip.
and add a stand for sturdiness.
This driftwood is an awesome sculptural piece.
I added a starfish to enhance the nautical theme.
I also added an 8x10 photo of my baby to complete the look.
I've never met a piece of driftwood I didn't love!

A Perfect Image Transfer & A New Friend
This is a funny story about a chair, a perfect image transfer, and a new friend.
You may remember the wedding chair I made for my daughter's bridal shower.
Well, one afternoon I got an email from a woman that owned a shop in a neighboring town.
She said she had a woman in her store that was looking for me.
The woman asked the shop owner if she had ever heard of a shop called Homeroadand did she know where could she find me.
Funny thing is... I didn't have a shop.
Well, I didn't when this post was written.
The shop owner did located me through my blog, emailed me and gave me Joanne's number so I could reach her...
and I did.
Joanne was lovely!
She was very excited to have found me.
Turns out she lives not far, follows Homeroad,

Nautical Number Tags
How to create the look of aged nautical tags...
These adorable nautical tags are made from the slats of a not-so-old crate that had been painted light blue.
Using the shop saw, I cut the slats into tag shapes, then sanded off some of the blue paint.
I dipped each tag into a vinegar/steel wool solutionto get that old weathered, aged look.
Holes were drilled for juteto hang the tags.
Each tag got a stenciled number.
Then using a paint stick, I painted in the numbers.

New Bun Feet
This is going to be a 2 part project... at least
First, I found these awesome, very old, oak bed parts on the side of the road.
I swear I don't make this up, people throw out great stuff!
My husband was even with me, he didn't want to stop but I won.
Very, very, old and awesome but all I really want is the parts from these beds.
Especially those spindle tops!
Rest assured those headboard and footboard pieces will be showing up as awesome signs one of these days too!
I have this big project I want to do, it has to do with painting kitchen cabinets.
Not all of them mind you, in my kitchen that is way too big of a job for me.
I have this desk area that I want to make look like a built-in hutch.
And here is where the bed comes in...
I chopped off the top of the bed spindles and made bun feet for…
