DIY Recycled Christmas Card Blocks
The beautiful home and garden magazine featured the cutest little Christmas cards decoupaged onto wood.
Well, I took the idea and ran with it...
I didn't use Christmas cards, though I could have, but Santa postcards from Graphics Fairy.
You could also used decoupaged Christmas napkins, they will work great too!
These posts will show you how to use napkins.
I cut 2x4 pieces of wood into block shapes and painted them white with Anne Sloan chalk paint.
You could also use old children's blocks. Being a preschool teacher I use what I have!
I printed out several Santa images, cut them to size and used Mod Podge to decoupage them onto the blocks. A laser printer will work best for this process.
When the Mod Podge was dry I sanded the blocks.
I used Furniture wax, stained with brown paint to give the blocks an aged look.
You can also use Transformations Decorative Glaze which is one of my favorites!
These would look great with a postcard back on the other side too, maybe a different holiday so you can get a lot of use out of these cuties!
