The Old Screen Door
The color was perfect, the age, and the patina is great!
This old screen door (that I found on the road), sat around for years while I tried to figure out the best way to use it.
Today I found the perfect place.
My deck is mostly covered with a canopy which sits
in the corner of my house and is surrounded on 2 sides
by sliding glass doors.
By adding a chain to the top of the door I was able
to hang the old screen door from the door moulding.
I added an antique hook at the top so I could hang a wreath.
Now this vintage screen door creates character
by hanging over an otherwise boring glass door.
A little more vintage junk to create "deck appeal."
