Scrappy Wooden Tree
These little trees are all over and
are so darn cute, I'm trying one for myself today.
Finding scrap wood to use in my basement was no problem at all.
One of the scrap boards I had down there was actually
a Seasons Greetings sign that was the perfect size.
The junky detail was the fun part...
The round ornaments were old shower rings and the star was cut from the bottom of an old galvanized planter.
I built a base using scrap wood and a bundt pan for decoration.
I assembled all my pieces then gave the tree a quick coat of glittery green.
I watered down the paint to just the right consistency to make a pretty green golden-like stain.
My cute little tree is ready to be one of my first outdoor decorations this year.
Seasons Greetings!
