Rusty Barrel Strap Cork Board
A 100 year old oak barrel was one of my
favorite side of the road finds... until it broke.
The straps were awesome... perfectly rusty with
rivets and aged beauty.
So I repurposed it into a cork board.
I traced the rusty circle onto cork from a repurposed bulletin board.
I fit the cork into the rusty frame, then hot glued it in place
while adding a vintage cotton braid.
I finished off the back with cardboard and brown paper.
It has a nautical rustic look.
A great repurpose for an old barrel.
