Vintage Telephone Table

When I found it in front of a house that was being renovated
it looked like this.

Saving a side of the road find with chalky paint

I grabbed it and ran because it was adorable though needed a LOT of work!

I am a grandmother and I can not ever remember using a table like this to talk on the phone.... must have been quite old.

I'm including affiliate links so you can find the products or similar products to do it yourself!

First it had to be glued with wood glue because it was falling apart at the joints.

Then I had to remove some bad veneer around the edges and that ghastly seat cover.

I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Graphite then coated it
with clear wax for protection.

Next I recovered the original seat with grain sack fabric.

The grey-blue stripe was perfect!

Still thinking it needed a little something...

I found this image on the internet here then transferred it using iron on transfer paper.

There are several kinds available on Amazon.

The one I originally used is unfortunately no longer being made.

I ironed the image right onto the seat.

This adorable table has a brand new life now!

I wonder if anyone would sit and talk on their cell phone at this table now?
