Are you a coffee lover like I am? 
I am a lover of all things coffee so when I found this coffee stencil from Old Sign Stencils by Funky Junk Interiors.

I'm using this stencil on everything! 

There are several different stencils to choose from and these are a few of my favorites.
You can see the stenciling tutorial on the Coffee Station post I did using the same stencil.

This time I stenciled a piece of old, wrinkled burlap using the same process.
When the stencil was dry, I wrapped the burlap around a wooden frame ... stapling it all the way around.

I used thick jute to criss cross the front of the memo board, using screws to secure the jute to the sides.

A quick way to update a fun thrift store find.

Never over look thrift store and garage sale items that may look hopeless at first...

Homeroad has a new look... (well it is almost finished) so I thought I'd take a look back to where it all began...

A garden tote with a screened bottom  is the perfect carrier for the garden...

Curb alerts! I love them... when friends text me with a picture and ask me if I want the piece.
Of course I want it!  So I sent my husband with the truck and this piece came home to me for a makeover.

This is how it began. As you can see, the top was ruined!


The first thing I had to do was to sand down the top.

I dragged the table outside and used my Ryobi electric sander to remove all the ugly chippy finish on the top.

It was better already...

Then came the paint job... A couple coats of

Hippity Hoppity Easter's on its way!

It is no secret that I love to paint.

All I needed for this simple project was a test tube, a piece of wood, and a clamp.

The reclaimed piece of wood is painted with a quick coat of white paint.
The metal clamp was from my stash of metal parts... I can't even tell you what most of these pieces actually are.
Two screws holds the test tube in place securely.


The test tube can be removed for cleaning by just loosening the screws.


You can use real flowers with a little water in the test tube or faux flowers like I did here with a little Spanish moss.
