Our Flea Market Flip Episode... The Explanation
We know you wanted to see it... our episode that wasn't... but then was...
We advertised that our Flea Market Flip episode was going to air on Sunday, July 26th at 12 noon.
At least that was the listing we were given. HGTV had us on the line-up for months.
We were all so excited to see it!
Until the night before when I was on a family vacation in Turks & Caicos and picked up my ipad only to find out that we were OFF the lineup for the next day.
What??? What happened?
Nobody really knows for sure exactly what happened but I got home from vacation the next day extremely bummed that the show wasn't going to air.
I sat down on the couch in front of the TV for a little nap after an exhausting 12 days of snorkeling, swimming, laying in the sun, and relaxing.
And suddenly I hear my voice.... on TV! If you know me... I apparently have a squeaky voice... so there was no missing it!
I looked up and there I was! It was 11:00 not 12 and our episode was ON... only under the wrong name in the listings!!!
And so it was... I started to text family and friends to let them know it was on... NOW!!!
That's the story of the Flea Market Flip Episode that was, then wasn't, but was after all.
I was only able to view the whole show myself by purchasing it on Amazon. For $1.99 I got season 5 episode 9 which is New York vs. New Jersey.... or The Empire State vs. The Garden State.
So anyway, here is what we bought at the Brimfield Flea Market.
A lovely "Holly Hobby Hutch"...
A few awesome iron and wood pieces...
And a small dresser that was a hot mess...
And here is what we made.... Spoiler Alert... If you want to be surprised and wait until the reruns... stop reading this post now.
If you've seen the show already or just can't wait (I'd look).... here they are!
A wine bar with a mirror in the back, a place to hang wine glasses, wine bottle storage, and a chalkboard.
This piece is painted in French Linen Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® with a wash of Graphite and an Artisan Enhancements Pearl Plaster glaze over the top.
A library cabinet with faux library drawers... We used Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint in Curio to stain the wood.
And finally a gorgeous garden bench.... Painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® in Pure White.
I am not going to give away the ending in this post but if you are interested please email me and I will be happy to share the final results!
