Vintage Cutting Board Ipad Stand
I love cutting boards but finding vintage cutting boards at
the thrift store means only one thing.
Fun to make and more fun to have in your kitchen to hold your ipad when cooking.
I use mine all the time to hold cookbooks too... ok I'm lying... my husband uses it when he cooks.
For this project I'm using a piece of a wine rack as the shelf that holds the ipad.
I attached it with wood glue and screws to the bottom of the ipad.
I painted the entire piece off white.
On the back of the cutting board I attached an old plate rack as the stand.
On the front of the newly painted cutting board I stenciled a Fleur de Lis using a stencil from DecoArt.
DecoArt has a great selection of stencils and this one is one of my favorites.
You can use any part of the stencil you need... use all or only parts like I did for this project.
When the paint was dry I distressed the ipad and finished it off with a poly sealer for protection.
An ipad stand is the perfect techie kitchen accessory.
Great for holding your ipad while you follow a recipe.
I'm thankful to Korrie at Red Hen Home for inspiring me to make ipad stands a few years back. I've made and sold many since then.
