It is not often I make a project for my own home but I was in need of a bathroom cabinet. My first thoughts are always of something repurposed.
I searched my favorite antiques store for a piece that might work as a cabinet.
Here's what I found...
An old clock... the price and the size were right so I brought it home.
Inside the clock were simple clock workings that were easily removed.
The glass pieces on the door were actually plexiglass so I removed them from the door and saved them for another project.
The wooden box needed a quick fix with wood glue and it was ready for paint.
I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® in Pure White to give this old clock box a distressed farmhouse look.
I flipped the box over so the door opened on the left side instead of the right which actually works best in my…

This project began with a pice of a repurposed broken table... yep, that 1/2 circle piece was once a table.
The table was Duck Egg Blue... you can read all about it >>> Carved Wood Table Pieces. Cute but it didn't work out so I broke apart the table andsaved the parts.
I gave the half circle piece a coat of Empire Red Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan. When the paint dried I stenciled on an Antiques graphic made by Old Sign Stencils then distressed the edges and around the stencil.
The Duck Egg Blue showed through the red and created a gorgeous vintage color combination.I used Annie Sloan Dark Wax to create an aged finish on the sign.
