DIY Chalkboard Wall Cubbies
This project went through several changes
before it came to rest here...
These chalkboard cubbies started life as a side-of-the-road find and you can read all about that lucky find {here}
This project went through a couple of changes before it ended up on choice number 3.
I replaced the cubbies in my bathroom with the farmhouse cabinet I created from a clock.
And today is a new day and I'm revealing one last version of the cubbie shelf.
Version number 1 had a fabric backing, number 2 had no backing... and when I decided that this version needed a backing, I went straight to my favorite pre-made chalkboard.
Attaching the chalkboard to the back was easy. I used a framing gun (which by the way is one of my favorite tools to date). You can purchase one here {affiliate link}
The cubbies are secured with a giant hinge at the top. It adds stability and a little rusty bling.
A hook is added to the side for whatever you may need to hang.
I'm thrilled with the look of choice number 3!
Which one is your favorite look?
