How to Make a DIY Lazy Susan
Susan I am but "lazy" is not a word in my vocabulary...
I love to keep busy and I love to create...
I'm adding affiliate links in this post so you can find the products similar to the ones I used to recreate this project.
Today I'm using a large wooden platevery much like this one I found at the thrift store. You could use any kind of plate or platter.
I gave the plate a coat ofblack chalky paint then a coat of White over the top when the black dried.
I used 220 grit sand paper to lightly sand off some of the white so the Graphite showed through.
Using one of my favorite Vintage Sign Stencils from Knick of Time.
I used the black paint once again to stencil the image onto the plate.
When the stencil was dry I sealed the paint.

How to Make a Chippy Coffee Sign with Hooks
Today I used pieces from an old trellis to create a chippy coffee sign mug holder...
I began with an old broken trellis from my garden...
I cut five pieces to the same length and attached them with two cross boards on the back.
The chippy pieces can be sealed with Miss Mustard Seed Tough Coat Sealer so there will be no more chipping. It leaves a matte finish that seals without a shine.
I used a stencil from Old Sign Stencils by Funky Junk Interiorsfor my design. These stencils are well made and easily customizable, you can use all or part of the stencil for your project.
The hooks for this project came from D Lawless Hardware. The hooks are inexpensive and perfect for holding mugs.
This chippy little sign is perfect for a small kitchen space or as a sign on a coffee bar.

How to Create an Enamelware Magnet Board with a Chippy Easel
This beautiful chippy easel is only the beginning of this easy DIY
project.
I began with a broken trellis that was the core of the chippy ladder project as well as the framing on several other magnet and bulletin boards I created when I had a shop.
As you're reading through this post please pay attention to the bold blue links that will take you to more information and the products I used for this project. Also the READ MORE sections will take you to related Homeroad projects.
The easel was an easy build, 3 pieces of chippy wood, my new nail gun and I was finished.
I used a vinegar and steel wool solution to give the chippy wood an aged look even on the newly cut edges.

How to Make a Rustic Stenciled Tray
This beautiful rustic tray was downright copied from my friend Donna...
Donna from Funky Junk Interiorshas a gorgeous line of stencils called Old Sign Stencils.
These well made, popular stencils are perfect for all kinds of projects but today I'm making a coffee tray just like the one Donna made.
You can visit her site to see the complete DIY on this project.
I began my tray with repurposed wood... from a futon to be exact.
I took apart the futon and used the boards for my tray.
I attached the boards, then attached the handles.
I painted the tray white then stenciled on the Coffee Roasters stencil.
I distressed the tray using a palm sander to give it a very rustic look.
The tray is perfect for sitting by the fire sipping on a warm cup of coffee.
