How to Make a Potting Bench From a Metal Grate
One of my favorite things to do is to dig around in my basement and come up with things I can put together and create something new... like this beautiful potting bench.
A little bit of this and a little bit of that...
An old metal mesh door... or is it a radiator cover? I don't know but it was in the corner of my basement, I like it.... and it works!
An antique table that I tried to save but it didn't sell so I did the next best thing.
I cut it up and made it fit to this metal radiator screen.
I attached all the pieces with screws and matching metal shelf brackets.
I added a small shelf to the top for garden tools.
It's adorable already!
A coat of paint marries the whole thing together.
