American Flag Pallet Planter
This was an easy build that makes a great summer gift.
I began by building a box using wood cut from a pallet I found.
I added cabinet handles at each end.

I painted the outside of the box white then using masking tape blocked off areas for the stripes and a star.
I used outdoor craft paint to paint the stripes and the blue field.
You can either draw a star, stencil a star or add many stenciled stars.
I found a great star stencil by Knick of Time that is perfect for stenciling perfect large stars on everything!!
I lined the box with a plastic garbage bag.
I filled the box with soil and planted red impatience plants in the box.
When the flowers grow they will beautifully cascade over the sides of the box.
