Sometimes you just need to go with your gut... even if it wasn't in the plan.
Over two years ago I embarked on the opportunity to open a booth in a shop in town.
It was a scary thought... I had been running
a successful blog for 3 years already but could I actually sell the items I make?
Was the risk of rent, advertising, business cards, and supplies going to be worth my investments?
I wasn't sure but I did it... I took a risk.
And so my tiny little Homeroad Shop began. It was literally just a hole in the wall but it was mine and I was darn proud to be a shop owner.
As time went on an opportunity to move to a larger space in the same building came up. More rent, bigger space, more inventory...
But I took another risk.
A whole room with four walls... filled to the brim with my pain…
