How to Make Newsprint Pumpkins
My idea for this project began with a few less than spectacular dollar store pumpkins. I wanted to repurpose them and turn them into something farmhouse and fabulous for my fall decor.
My first thought was to just add vintage hardware parts and create stems on these beauties... but no.
That fix sure wasn't working, it needed something else.
Creating an old newspaper look:
I decided to cut up an old book and decoupage small pieces of yellowed book pages to the pumpkins.
While I liked the decoupaged pumpkins so much better, the stems were still not right.
How to create a repurposed stem:
I dug deep into my stash of metal lamp parts and came up with pieces that did the trick.
