I'm playing with snow scenes and glass jars again today...

It is craft fair day once again! 

I created these adorable little snow scenes reminiscent of a water filled snow globe. 

Today I'm finally finished decorating the den. 

The time is approaching to pull out my favorite rustic hot cocoa tray.

A while back I built a farmhouse bench for my kitchen table.

I'm getting my den back!

I love making Christmas ornaments, especially repurposed ornaments created from something that end up in the thrift store like these vintage Scrabble pieces. 

I'm having so much fun making rustic Christmas trays!


I made a white Christmas tray usingOld Sign Stencils by Funky Junk Interiors. 

I loved it so much I'm keeping it but that didn't stop me from making a few more.
An Instagram friend requested a red tray so here it is.

I used red chalky paint for the tray and green for the trees with gold stars. 


When the paint dried I used an electric sander to distress the edges then dark wax over clear wax over the top.

There is nothing better than a beautiful ruler.

Quite often I get emails for special requests and this was one of those days.

I've been growing sage in a pot in my garden for years. It comes back every year, thicker and stronger. 

As it begins to get colder I cut some of it down and brought it inside. 

The sage is a beautiful green and the only thing better than the way it looks is the way it smells.
I put a mason jar inside this galvanized oil can and filled it with water hoping the sage will last a long time indoors. 

Paired with pumpkins, it makes a gorgeous fall centerpiece for a harvest table.

Can you tell which of the pumpkins is real and which is fake? I know it's hard!

Before it freezes I'm going back outside to see what other greens I can bring in.

Today I'm giving a tossed out jewelry holder a makeover.

It's hard sometimes not to use faux pieces in your decorating, everything looks so real!

My front porch pillows have a little secret...

This wreath started out as the end of summer in my garden. 

A pot full of perennial sage.

I cut down a handful of boughs and gathered my supplies. 

A clipper for the thicker stems, green floral wire, and a metal wreath form.



I began by wiring small bunches of sage to the wire wreath form and continued all the way around the form.

The smell in the room is fabulous!
When you've gone all the way around the wreath form, you're finished!



The sage wreath is ready to hang. The sage only keeps it's smell and shape for a few days but fills your home with a beautiful smell.

I found this large pumpkin at the thrift store for $1.00. It was cute already but with one simple fix I like it even better!

Another year of making repurposed Christmas ornaments.

These cute little Mason jars were an easy project and make a great gift. 

I made these adorable wreaths quite by accident one day. 

I tried to sell this dresser and mirror "as is" ....

These mini pumpkins are just the cutest little things!

My yard is filled with garden junk and I love to keep the birds happy with birdhouses and feeders.

My idea for this project began with a few less than spectacular dollar store pumpkins. I wanted to repurpose them and turn them into something farmhouse and fabulous for my fall decor. 



My first thought was to just add vintage hardware parts and create stems on these beauties... but no.



That fix sure wasn't working, it needed something else.
Creating an old newspaper look:
I decided to cut up an old book and decoupage small pieces of yellowed book pages to the pumpkins.

While I liked the decoupaged pumpkins so much better, the stems were still not right. 
How to create a repurposed stem:
I dug deep into my stash of metal lamp parts and came up with pieces that did the trick.
