How to Make Wooden Valentine Ornaments

Christmas may be over but ornaments are back!

How to Make Wooden Valentine Ornaments

These cute vintage wooden Valentines are not only fun and easy to make... they are adorable!!!

All you need to make this project are some printed vintage Valentine's.

If anyone has the source for these printables please let me know, I can not find the source.

A block of wood, Decou-page, (see my affiliate link below) a length of wire and glitter is all I used.

I cut the wood to the size of the card then used the Decou-page to stick the card to the wood.

One coat on the wood, press down the card so there are no air bubbles, then another coat of Decou-page on top of the card.

Let it dry.

When the card was dry I used a neutral colored paint to paint the back and sides of the wood.

I drilled 2 holes in the top to insert wire for a hanger.

When the Valentine was dry I painted on a little more Decou-page where I wanted to add glitter.

I used very fine glitter for this project.

Sadly the glitter doesn't show up very well on the computer but believe me, it is fabulous!

When the glitter was dry I sprayed the whole thing with a sealer.

These little block ornaments make great Valentine gifts that last longer than a card.
