Where the Wild Things Are Baby Shower

My second daughter is due to have her first baby this summer.

The request was for a Where the Wild Things Are baby shower and as a preschool teacher myself, I was all over it!

I was in charge of the decorations... yay!

So here's what I did.

I began by Googling Where the Wild Things Are and boy there are a lot of creative people out there so I decided to create what I could from all the inspiration already out there.

A few of the projects that were right up my alley were these...

A wooden sign that used to be an Easter Sign is now a sign for the little King.

A few pieces of scrap wood from my workshop is now wild thing decor.

And thanks to a site I found with FREE Wild Things printables, I was set!

I made a banner from flag printables from this set and monstera leaves ordered from Oriental Trading.

I created labels to wrap the silverware and some to go around the water bottles by cutting and pasting in PicMonkey editor.

For the table centerpieces I bought fern plants at the local home store and wrapped them in burlap.

I created glittery crowns on sticks to put in each plant.

Each table will have fern green table cloths with monstera leaves scattered on the table and a fern centerpiece on each one.

For favors I bought cookies from Costco and wrapped them with a Wild Things header I created on PicMonkey.

I made print-outs so everyone could leave my daughter some "Mommy advice", I will be binding these into a book.

There will be a book box for all the books we collect for the new baby.

I bought baby shower games from Target and my supplies are packed and ready for a party!
