This cute farmhouse project started out with a simple crate from reclaimed wood.

I added metal tape with small nails along the edge of the crate for decoration.

Using an inexpensive chip brush I dry brushed a coat of white chalked paint sparingly so the crate wood showed through.

Next I added a farmhouse stencil to the side of the crate using charcoal chalked paint and a pig stencil.

Small bottles fit perfectly inside to create a beautiful rustic place to display Spring flowers or in this case just a simple sprig of lavender.
