DIY Hanging Coffee Bar
Today I'm repurposing a wall shelf into a coffee bar!
This project actually began with a shelf that was taken down from my Pre-K classroom.
I wanted to use it again so I started out by giving it a couple coats of Country Chic Paint in Harmony.
I used this chalky paint once before when I repurposed this display hutch for our shop.
This color is a perfect cafe au lait for a coffee bar!
I added a coffee stencil from Old Sign Stencils. I use these stencils a lot because they are such great quality and can be used over and over!
When the paint was dry I added a bar at the bottom for cup hooks and a slat of wood with labels along the front to create small bins.
The cup hooks were not quite the right color so I painted them with oil rubbed bronze paint.
I gave this piece a top coat of Miss Mustard Seed Tough Coat for protection against dust and dirt.
There is plenty of room for cups, tea, filters, and coffee while
ironstone cups look great hanging from the hooks!
So happy to be able to save this piece!
Update: I recently sold this piece and the new owner
sent me a photo of it all decked out for Fall! I just love it!
