Use Clock Parts to Make a Holiday Wreath
If you've followed along this month you probably saw the Christmas wreath I made from a broken clock. Today I'm using a few more pieces of that same clock to make another fun holiday wreath.
These are the pieces that were left after removing the wooden outer frame of the clock. These pieces held in the glass.
I chose the smaller piece to work with today. I began by wrapping the hoop with burlap ribbon. When I got to the end of the ribbon I used hot glue to hold the ribbon in place.
I made a bow with wired ribbon edged in buffalo check and glued it to the ribbon wrapped hoop.
Next, I stenciled a store bought JOY sign. I covered the sign with the small buffalo check stencil from Old Sign Stencils and used a dark grey chalky paint. You can find all about this stencil by visiting the green link.
You can read about stenciling with this amazing buffalo check stencil by visiting the vintage sled I painted a while back.
The simple, neutral joy sign looks beautiful on the shiplap in my newly renovated tiny bathroom this season.
