Farmhouse Style End Table with Basket Storage
Her search was over when she found this little cutie at the Salvation Army for $10.
She knew right away from watching her mother, how to update this piece into just what she wanted.
She began by giving the table a quick light sanding then painted the piece with several light coats of General Finishes Milk Paint in Alabaster.
The paint was easy to use, went on smoothly, and was easy to clean up.
Here's a great tip, she kept her paintbrush wrapped in a plastic baggie between coats.
My daughter did a great job on this project, one of her very first painted furniture projects, I taught her well.
I'm hanging onto this amazing piece for her until she goes back to school.
It will sit in the corner of my new office right near the farmhouse storage cupboard I recently painted.
(Actually I'm secretly hoping that she forgets to take it with her)
Lucky for me, she said there were two at the thrift store, I'm seriously hoping nobody else had her vision.
Wish me luck when I head out tomorrow afternoon in hopes of finding the twin to this beautiful piece!
Update: As much as I'd like to say my daughter forgot this table, here it is in her apartment.
