DIY Picket Fence Skis for Christmas
Every time I see someone decorating with an old skis I wish I had a pair to decorate my home. With that being said, I did what I do... I made a decorative set of skis for myself!
First, I started with 2 found fence pickets.
I was lucky enough to find a bunch of new pickets wrapped up nicely in a bundle on the side of the road.
I couldn't leave them there!
So nice of them to bundle them for me. 😉
I painted 2 pickets with Fort York Fusion Mineral Paint and distressed the edges with a small electric sander.
I used the grain sack stencil from Old Sign Stencils to quickly stencil stripes on the top and bottom of each ski.
I use this stencil all the time!
In the center of one ski, I added a drop of wood glue then used the nail gun to attach the skis at a slight angle.
In the center I added some faux greenery and a red gingham bow.
These skis couldn't be easier to make!
