Easy Transfer Method for Farmhouse Style
I'm working with rub on stencils today and it couldn't be easier to get a graphic look on a painted surface!
Did you ever paint something and save it for later to finish? Well that's what happened here.
This was so easy to do, I just repainted an old toolbox and I was half way there.
Once upon a time I started this project and shelved it for a later date.
Today I'm repainting the toolbox in an off white color I made by mixing an oops paint with white.
If you have trouble waiting for paint to dry, you can set up a fan for about an hour and get instant dry!
Now it is time for the transfers, I'm using Everyday Farmhouse transfers from re-design with Prima.
The set comes with several big sheets of transfers so you'll be using them on projects forever!
The transfers come in many different designs!
All you do is cut out the portion of the transfer you want to use, remove the backing paper and rub your design with a popsicle stick onto your project.
I did another project with these a while back and decorated a cabinet door.
Once the designs were rubbed onto my toolbox, I sprayed the project with a matte sealer.
I used scrap book paper and Mod Podge to line the bottom of the toolbox.
If you don't have Mod Podge you can use white glue with a tiny bit of water in it to make it thinner.

That is all it took to create a great farmhouse look to hold whatever you need! I'm using it to hold my fabric napkins.
What would you use it for?
I've thought about using it in the office to hold supplies, it would also be great for a sewing box!
See several more projects done with these transfers that were so much fun to make!
It makes a great craft tote too!
