Metal Label Sign for a Tiered Tray
This is a project for all those people who contacted me saying they couldn't find the Dollar Tree sign I posted about a few weeks ago. Not every Dollar Tree store has the same stock at the same time and many of you loved the signs but couldn't find them in your stores. Today I'm going to show you how you can make them yourselves!
I never thought I'd have to knock-off a Dollar Tree sign but here I am and today I will.
This little sign is just too cute not to own a few but nobody could find the signs at Dollar Tree when I wrote about them.
They fit so perfectly in tiered trays or on small shelves, everyone needs at least one.
Here is how you can make this sign yourself for about a dollar.
First I cut a wooden board into several pieces that were 4 1/2" x 3 1/2".
I painted the boards in several of my favorite chalky colors.
Next, I distressed the edges of the board and stained it with a Minwax stain cloth.
If you like the bright colors you can leave off the staining step.
I ordered these metal label holders from Amazon that were just the right size to hold a small sign.
They even come with the screws and cost just over a dollar a piece.
I like the silver finish on these label holders but you could always spray paint them with another color.
I screwed the metal label holders to the board and that was it.
I printed out words and signs on card stock to slip into the metal label holders.
These signs are perfect to leave a cute little note around the house or to fill up a tiered tray.
The signs are interchangeable and can be customized to say whatever you need.
I don't know about you but I have a million places I could leave a little sign!

They are very similar to the very popular and hard to find dollar store signs I wrote about before and they cost just about a dollar too!
I bet you could use a small sign or two!
