Hanging Jute Basket for Spring
Another trip to the dollar store and this time I bought something for $1 and I didn't even know what it was but I was game to figure it out and give it a new life.
The package said it was a wire sphere.
Truthfully, I thought it was a wire wreath form when I bought it.
When I figured out it was a wire sphere, I was intrigued.
I started by assembling the sphere as per the directions.
Ok, still not sure what it was used for.
But I had a big ball of thick jute twine so I started wrapping it at one end.
It was pretty therapeutic so I kept wrapping.
I continued the wrapping pattern until I was about 1/2 way up the sphere.
Then I started on the other end of the sphere doing the same.
This time I stopped after about 4" then created a handle with the end of the twine.
Ok, it looked like a basket to me.
I decided later on to take off the part with the hanging beads.
I filled the basket with Spanish moss and added a chicken and some eggs from my collection of Spring decor.
This is perfect for hanging with decorations for Spring.
I had a lot of fun deciding how to repurpose this mystery item and for a one dollar investment, it was worth it.
