Fish Bone Art with Shells
I am a beach lover! I live near the beach, I kayak at the beach, and I create art at the beach. Today I'm using what I found at the beach to create a simple hanging fish using shells. This is a great project for your next vacation!
This project is so easy that all you need is the things you found at the beach, some wire, a board and hot glue.

No real directions involved because you're going to use what you found to create your own version!
If you've been following along lately, you know I love fish!
And any fish with driftwood like this driftwood fish wind chime and the driftwood fish wall hanging are winners with me!
For this fun fish project I began by dry brushing a quick coat of light green paint onto a piece of reclaimed wood.
Next, using the pieces I found on the beach, I arranged them to look like fish bones.
A couple of pieces of driftwood for the body then shells in descending order down the spine.
I added a piece of sea glass for the eye then drilled holes in my board to thread wire.
I used rebar wire and added a few squiggles in the wire as I went.
A raffia bow tied onto the wire finished off the project.
You could add a little sand, more shells, a different fish head... the ideas will come from all the great things you can collect on the beach.
If you don't live near a beach, remember this project for your next beach vacation!
Shells can also be purchased quite reasonably on Amazon.
This is a great family project to create on vacation or to keep your memories alive all year long.
