Easy Pumpkin Refrigerator Magnets
Today I'm doing a fun extension of a project I showed you a few weeks ago. If you're getting ready for Fall or even thinking about getting ready for Fall, you're going to love this easy and inexpensive pumpkin project.
I began with the tumbling blocks from the Dollar Tree.
These blocks are like the Jenga game but a little smaller.
As you're reading through please visit the bold blue links for more Homeroad information and product ideas for this project.
If you've been following along you know that I made these adorable little distressed pumpkins with them.
All the supplies for this project are available at the dollar store, Dollar Tree to be exact.
I started like my other project stacking the blocks, first 3, then 2, then the last top one.
I used hot glue to attach the blocks.
For this project I will only be stacking the 6 blocks, the back will remain flat.
Next, I painted the pumpkins, one orange and one off-white using craft paint.
I stuck my finger in brown craft paint and rubbed it on the edges of the pumpkin to resemble distressing.
A little messy but it did the trick!
I added a piece of vintage clothespin for the stem with a little bit of Spanish moss and some pip berries for the tendril using hot glue.
The other half of the clothespins I used for another pumpkin project.
On the back of the pumpkins I hot glued on 2 strong magnets.
They look so cute on the refrigerator for the Fall!
If your refrigerator is not magnetic or you don't like to put magnets on your stainless steel, here is another idea...
I hot glued an antiqued clothespin to the back of one of the pumpkins and it is now a great clip for holding papers and notes on the desk.
