Repurposed Ceiling Light Pumpkin Patch
Have you ever repurposed a light fixture before? If you know me you know I hate to throw away anything and when we installed new ceiling lights recently I just had to recycle the old glass fixtures.
I've been repurposing light fixtures for years, several are very cool pumpkins like this Light Fixture Pumpkin.

This was an easy project and as we are approaching Fall, everything I see I want to turn into a pumpkin.
In our new board and batten entry and in my office I replaced the traditional old so called "boob light" with LED lights that work off my phone and a remote.
They were easy to install and look amazing!
So the glass globes from the "boob lights" were going to become pumpkins for an outdoor pumpkin patch.
I began by giving each globe a couple coats of DecoArt Suede paint in the color called suede.
This paint has a slight texture and after 2 coats was the perfect color and texture for my pumpkin patch.
Once the pumpkins were dry, I added ribs to the plain pumpkin with a copper Metallic Sharpie marker.
I have to admit it looks much like a basketball at this point but we all know it's gonna be a pumpkin. 😂
Next I added Spanish moss , a piece of a broken branch, and a leaf to each pumpkin.
Then I set them outside in my garden.
That's all it took to turn a "boob light" into a pumpkin for the pumpkin patch by my front door!
This was an easy project and used what I had around the house.
I love decorating with repurposed pumpkins in the Fall!

Another idea is to add a puck light to light up the pumpkins at night!
