Junky Spring Christmas Trees
I love to create with found materials. Several years ago I bought a bag of small silver springs from a garage sale. They looked like they may have been some kind of place card holder.
The other day as I played around in my workshop I ran across the small springs.
I gathered some other small junky pieces I had in my collection and began creating Christmas trees.
As you read through this post please pay attention to the bold blue links for more Homeroad information and the products I used for this project.
A few of the springs I spray painted gold.
The rest I left the original silver color.
I grabbed a bunch of corks, lamp parts and small metal containers I had laying around and started gluing.
I used hot glue to attach my pieces.
First, I found something I wanted to use as a stand like a lamp part.
I hot glued a cork to the stand.
After that I added the spring with just a touch of hot glue then added a wooden star to both sides of the top of my spring.
I added small berries, Spanish moss and greenery to give my little springs the look of small Christmas trees.
Some of the wooden stars I painted gold, on others I added fine glitter.
I think these cute little trees look so adorable in a group.
They are a whole forest of junky Christmas trees!
Thanks so much for visiting and I hope I inspired you to look at junk in a new way.
You may never find these springs like I used but use your imagination and use something similar.
It's always fun to create something from nothing.
