Stuffed Heart Plant Picks for Valentine's Day
Sometimes one project just naturally leads to another, so if you are ready for some cute recycled heart projects... I've got you!
Recently I wrote a post using a recycled sweater to make candle covers.
Then I used the leftover sweater fabric to make the cutest little heart bowl fillers.
Well, that leftover recycled sweater fabric and some other scrap supplies lead to this one!
As you scroll through this post please pay attention to the bold blue links for more Homeroad information and the products I used for this project.
I used a cardboard pattern to cut out hearts from a number of different fabrics.
Burlap, lace, drop cloth, sweater, and doilies were used for my hearts.
I cut out 2 from each fabric and hot glued them together starting at the top of the heart.
I stuffed the heart with a small amount of pillow stuffing and added a wooden skewer to the bottom.
Each of the hearts I embellished with either another small fabric heart or a little bling.
Some of the stuffed picks were small round doilies embellished with sweater hearts.
I tied jute and lace bows on the bottom of some of the hearts.
The wooden sticks on these hearts make them perfect for adding to flower bouquets or plants.
They make the perfect little Valentine's Day gift.
