Today's Homeroad DIY project began as an experiment. 
I saw a beautiful vase in Hobby Lobby and I'm using it for inspiration today.
I wanted to see if I could come close to getting the look.
On a recent trip to the dollar store I grabbled 2 vases, one short and one tall.
You be the judge... did I come close to getting the look I was after? 

I was inspired for this project by all the tin can projects out there lately. Problem was, I didn't have any cans! So I improvised and it turned out great! 

This garland for Spring and Easter was so easy to make and almost all the supplies came from the Dollar Store! 

Are you a risk taker? I'm usually not but today I'm taking a small risk in the spare bathroom that turned out to be an even bigger one...

This cute project was inspired from a similar one I saw while out shopping. Often, in the middle of the store I say... "Hey, I could make that for much less!" and I did!

I love recycling donation clothing! Recently I made carrots using recycled fabric and I'm doing it again! It's so easy why stop?

I love black and white and the look of some of the Makenzie Childs products just make me happy! Today, I'm going to attempt the look using Sharpies...

Recently I loved the moss covered planter for Spring at PB and I knew I could make it... only better! 

I had to do it... the fabric in the donation bin was just too cute to give away so I'm repurposing it for Spring! 

I saw the cutest birdhouse made from a terra cotta pot at a flower shop. I didn't have a terra cotta pot available right now so I'm improvising and using an easy to find, small galvanized bucket for this project. 

These adorable egg tassels are easy to make from an inexpensive paintable egg kit and can be used to decorate many things. 

I've always loved the look of the Adirondack backpack baskets but I've never found one at a good price. Today... I'm going to show you how to fashion your own! 

I am loving this beautiful new speckled Robin's egg blue color for the Spring and it was purely a happy accident.

Sometimes I like to just mess around in the workshop and see what I come up with. Today that was my plan and I think my project is pretty darn cute! 

Today I'm making a fun Spring project using things I already have at home. I'm also combining it with another DIY project from the Homeroad archives...
