Outdoor Large Table Riser Tray

I'm ready to decorate the deck even if the weather isn't.

Today I'm creating a giant tray with legs for the center of my outdoor coffee table.

I'm painting it to match my new patio covers and it couldn't be cuter!

The supplies are readily available and it was very easy to make!

This project was inspired by legs I've been holding onto from my daughter's old bedroom furniture.

I began with an extra large wooden round from Home Depot.

I attached 3 of the furniture legs securely to the bottom of the tray by drilling holes in the tray and screwing the legs into the tray.

My wood round was repurposed so it was black on the bottom.

On the top of the tray I added handles repurposed from my kitchen renovation this year.

This tray is huge and will be perfect for the DIY outdoor table I built.

I painted the whole tray with 2 coats of Fusion Mineral Paint in Raw Silk including the handles.

I painted one coat in one direction and the second coat in the other direction which gave the tray a linen look.

Next, I picked the new Retro Star stencil from Old Sign Stencils.

As you can see I've used it once before already!

I'm stenciling with Folk Art Color Shift Paint in Green Flash which is a beautiful lime green color that shimmers.

As always if you have any "oops" spots they can be fixed with a thin paintbrush and the original background color.

You can see how beautifully this color shift paint shimmers!

When the stencil dried I sprayed the tray with a spray sealer for outdoor use.

I decorate the inside of my whole house in neutral colors but on my deck I go wild!

My outdoor colors this year are blue and lime green!

A few years ago we replaced our deck with Trex composite decking.

Truth be told it's still pretty cold here right now!

I like to change things up every year.

This year I bought an inexpensive round outdoor rug from Amazon for under the extra large table I built a few years ago.

I also got these outdoor cushion covers from Amazon that made all my older cushions match and they come in several sizes!

Update: Unfortunately the blue cushion covers have faded so I removed the link recommendation.

The lime green outdoor pillow covers were another great find that covered my pillows from last year in several sizes too.

Just a few updates gave my deck a whole new look this year!

Next comes the yard work

The extra large tray looks amazing in the center of the table and will be perfect for snacks or decorations.
