Retro Stenciled Side Table Drawer
I haven't painted furniture in a long time but I've been wanting to try this fun idea for a while now!
I wanted to turn a boring old end table I had into a beauty but didn't want to work too hard!
I added a retro stenciled drawer liner that was perfect for this little table!
I love the look of the stenciled drawer liner and the sides of the drawer.
Today, I began with an old side table that was in the basement for a long time.
The table was damaged in several areas so a good coat of paint and a little distressing was going to it wonders.
I began by painting the table with Fusion Mineral Paint in Inglenook, a beautiful retro green.
Fusion Mineral Paint needs no prep work so I just wiped down the table and began painting.
When the paint was dry I distressed the edges with sandpaper.
Now for the decorative accent!
I'm using one of brand new Funky Junk Interiors Old Sign Stencils called Retro Star.
I know I'm going to find a lot of uses for this cute stencil!
I pulled out the painted drawer from the side table and stenciled the stars to the inside and sides of the drawer.
I used Coal Black Fusion Mineral Paint for the stenciling.
Usually I add some kind of decorative drawer liner to my painted furniture but today I'm trying something new.
Now the side table is perfect for the guest room!
The headboard in this room was another DIY Homeroad project!
