Sentimental Wooden Ornaments
This easy project has a sentimental spin and just makes me happy!
Similar ornaments and easy to find supplies make this a beautiful Christmas project you're going to want to try!
Take a look...
Many years ago my uncle and his wife made my family wooden Christmas ornaments every year. They were cut out of thin wood, sanded and stained. They wrote our names in gold pen and they added to our collection every year with wooden ornaments of different shapes and sizes.

I've held onto these ornaments for about 25 years. I think we have about 30 of them. I never wanted to get rid of them because they had sentimental value but they've been packed away forever! I needed to find a way to use some of the ornaments in a project that I could display at Christmas time and remember my uncle.
I grabbed 5 of my favorite shaped ornaments and used a magic eraser to remove the fading gold pen.
You can make this same Christmas display using wooden shapes from the craft store.
I gathered a few sticks I had leftover from another project but you can use a stick from the backyard or a piece of driftwood. I tied my sticks together with jute then used a piece of thick jute from the dollar store on each end to create a hanger.
Each ornament already had a hole so I looped a piece of jute through the hole. The ornaments were hung from the sticks at different lengths with a wooden bead.
I added a vintage fabric bow and a couple of small bells to the longest ornaments.
Lastly, I added faux greenery to the sticks at the top. I also used hemp oil to coat the ornaments and bring out the beauty.

This ornament display looks great and is such a good way to use some of the ornaments I've been saving for so long. I will think of the people that gave us the ornaments every time I look at it. 💕
