Red, White & Blue Mini Pennant Banner
Garlands and banners are so much fun to make and really very easy too.
Today I'm creating a tiny pennant banner to decorate a tiered tray or peg shelf for the Fourth of July.
I used scraps of fabric and a piece of string... that's it!
Take a look....
This is an easy, easy, easy project for the summer holidays!

I began with a pile of red, white and blue fabric I had leftover from this fun flag banner and adorable DIY American flags.
I cut strips of fabric in all three colors then using about 3 feet of a thicker white cotton string, I tied knots in both ends. I've actually used this twine for many projects so a big bolt of it is a good idea!
Next, I tried using scrap book glue but ended up using hot glue to attach the strips of fabric to the string. All you do is fold the fabric over the string and glue.
I used scissors and pinking shears to cut the pennant bottoms in different shapes.
That is all there is to making a mini pennant garland.
Now to find a place to hang it for the summer holidays.

Draped across a peg shelf is a great little place for a little festive garland.
Also across a tiered shelf makes a plain item look ready to party!
