Mini Golden Mushroom Ornaments
If you have a small Christmas tree you're gonna love these cute little golden mini mushroom ornaments!
I had a lot of fun making these and it was really a cinch!
If you're a mushroom lover like I am, you're going to want to grab a couple packages of these mushrooms from the Dollar Store and get to work!
Take a look...
Yes, I'm a mushroom lover and lately I've been making a bunch of DIY holiday mushroom projects.

This time I'm using a package of wooden mini mushrooms from the Dollar Tree and learned I really should have gotten more!
The first thing I did was to add a tiny screw eye to the top of each mushroom. These are the tiniest little screw loops to hang a string or ornament hook. I used a push pin first to make a hole in the top of the mushroom to screw the eye into.
Next, I used Rub and Buff in the color Gold Leaf to brush on the top of each mushroom. I was sure to get it just slightly under the mushroom top edge.
To make the signature mushroom cap bottom I used a thin brown marker and just made lines all the way around under the cap.
Next, I used both a gold and a brown stamp pad and brushed a stained look on some of the mushroom stems. I left some natural and the three variations looks great!
Next, I used a Sharpie marker to add spots to some of the mushrooms.
Lastly, I tied a thin piece of cotton butchers twine through the screw eye for a hanger.
Another idea is to use different colored green markers and create grass around the mushroom stem.
These little cuties are ready to hang on a small Christmas tree.
I'll be sure to go back to the Dollar Tree and get some more to fill the rest of this tree!
I hope you like these cute and easy to make mini mushroom ornaments!
