The thrift store find I'm showing you today was found way before Christmas but I had so many posts to write with a Christmas deadline, I saved this one for right before Christmas. 
This post is to show you that no matter what it is, if it at the thrift store, if it catches your eye and looks interesting, grab it! After Christmas when you're back out at the thrift stores, keep your eyes open!

If you've been around for a while this season you may have seen the vintage snowman banner I made from napkins I found at Home Goods. 
What you probably don't know is that it was a super popular project!  One of my very favorites this season and right now it is enjoying life in its new home.
Recently, on another trip to Home Sense, which is like Home Goods in case you don't know, I found a few more packs of Christmas napkins and today I'm doing another fun project with them.

Are you ready for snow? Do you already have snow? I'm not a big fan and I'm hoping the Farmer's Almanac is wrong because they say we are in for a lot this year.

You may know how much I love recycling fabric. Actually, clothing fabric from the donation pile. 
I have 4 daughters and forever they've been getting rid of perfectly good clothes and I've been picking through the pile. 
Sometimes I even find something to wear! 
All of my children have left the nest as of this month but the pile is still here and you won't believe what I found this time to use for a Christmas project!

Here's an easy one today! I'm making ornaments and a banner from a thrifted placemat! Yep, a placemat!
I was lucky enough to find fringed red and white striped placemats in the thrift store recently and I knew I'd use them for Christmas. 
Today was the day, I cut up one of the placemats and made the easiest stockings and mittens that can be hung on a banner or hung on the tree!

A fun project this morning that doesn't require many supplies and looks amazing if you're a lover of distressed signs. 
If you've been following along for a while you know I love making Christmas signs, decorations and DIY ornaments so get ready for even more easy and inexpensive Christmas projects! If you're finished with your Christmas decorating, be sure to pin this project for next year! 
All you need for this one is some card stock, a printer, and a piece of cardboard or chip board to create the cutest little tree farm sign to hang anywhere! It's hard to believe you can get such a realistic rusty sign from the printer!

Today I'm grabbing some recycled sherpa from the donation pile in my basement. 
I have several daughters and a few still live at home or very near by and they have more used clothing to donate than I can even believe! 
Repurposing fabric is a great way to recycle and the cute projects you can make with them are not only cute but very cost effective. 
Today I'm making mushroom ornaments made with a recycled sherpa jacket... let's call them Sherpa Shrooms!

Today I'm making Christmas gift tags from scrap card stock and a cute stencil! 
These tags used recycled card stock, coffee stained ribbon and a very inexpensive stencil.

Is it HO HO or HO HO HO?
That is the question today... The inspiration for this project says HO HO and after making it I think I can see why there isn't another HO.
Anyway I made a similar pillow for the Fall and when I saw this Pillow on Antique Farmhouse I was inspired to make another one only for Christmas!

Another labor of love project for me today! 
I'm creating velvet mushroom ornaments to hang on a small Christmas tree. 
They make great gifts or package decorations and can be sewn or not sewn and decorated in several different ways.

This project began with a trip to Michaels this weekend. I ran across the cutest velvet mushrooms that were 60% off. 
I showed the mushrooms to my daughter who said "Mom, you could make those, just look at them and see how they were made."
And so I did. 
I gathered recycled supplies from around the house and got to work creating the cutest mushrooms that can be displayed at Christmas or all year round!
