This is the story of a Facebook Marketplace find. 
If any of you shop on Marketplace, you know how difficult it can be to tie down a sale. If you're selling an item, people say they want it and never show up. Other times, sellers never seem to be available for pick up or don't even answer their messages. 
This sale took forever! I found what I hoped would be the perfect piece on a Wednesday and didn't pick it up for a week and a half later due to a string of miscommunication. 
Normally I would have given up long before but I had super high hopes for this piece.

This story started out in the thrift store with a happy little accident. 
I bought a little Zara lamp that was 75% off. It ended up to be only $2.00 and it was brand new.  
I wanted a cute little lamp for my kitchen to use as a small accent light. 
The lamp didn't have a shade but it did have a beautiful fabric cord with a switch so I figured I could work out something when I got home.

I made a coat rack for the bottom of my stairs that goes with the decor of my house and is super simple. 
The original project was made with scrap wood so other than the hooks I bought from Amazon, this project was almost free! Twice!

Have you ever wanted to change up something and obsessed about it for a long time? 
That is the story with the hanging pendant lights in my kitchen. We had the kitchen renovated 2 years ago and I've disliked the pendant lights I chose ever since. 
I thought about replacing them all together but since they've only been there for 2 years, it didn't seem like the right thing to do. 
And seeing how I am a lifetime DIYer, and a little cheap, I just didn't have it in me to just buy new lights.
