I just got the cutest bunny napkins from my friend and neighbor Kim today and I couldn't wait to use them. 
It's also the week before Easter so I better get busy making a project or the time to enjoy them for this year will be over.

Have you seen the beautiful frames people are putting around their wall mounted televisions? They put a screen saver on the screen and it looks like a gorgeous painting in their living rooms. 
This gave me an idea... Of course it did...
My office is quite eclectic. Right now I have several vintage gold frames hanging on the wall so I thought "Hey... why not make a frame for the small TV I have hanging on the wall."
And so I did...

My inspiration came today from a high end catalog that was sent to my house... and why would I order from a high end catalog when I can get the look for less!? 
I began this project by repurposing an old framed bulletin board I had in the basement. 
At one point I painted everything I could find a chalky white but my tastes have changed and I'm very into the vintage gold and brass look lately.

Nothing screams Spring to me more than a cloche with a bird's nest. 
I don't know who actually made the first lampshade cloche but I've always wanted to give it a try, 
There are so many variations and mine is made with things I found in the workshop today.
The thrift stores are filled with old lampshades and if you find one that has the right bones, this easy project takes minutes to make!

Nothing says Spring to me like a wire cloche with a nest so when I saw how easy it was to make one from very inexpensive materials I was all in! 
I'm so excited about this project! I've seen this project before but when I tried to find out the source I saw that a whole bunch of people have made it in all different ways on Pinterest. 
I'm giving it a try today three different ways and I love them all!

This is a fun story today...
I saw this beautiful vintage gold frame at the thrift store last week. It had a lot of damage and I thought it was fixable but it was full price and frankly... I don't do full price, especially on things I hope I can fix. 
The vintage gold frame had a matted Claude Monet print in it called The Water Lily Pond. This painting always reminds me of the three year old class that did their own versions of this painting when I was teaching preschool.
